Jonathan Ishmael, an accomplished entrepreneur with expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Project Risk Management (PRM).
Originally from Fort Worth, Jonathan attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar high school before joining the US Navy in 2000. He spent his first tour aboard the USS Nebraska (SSBN, 739) as a Machinist Mate, Jonathan then transferred to NAVRESFOR and supported the Staff Jag Advocate (JAG). Following his military career, Jonathan returned to the DFW area to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management Information Systems (EMIS) from Southern Methodist University (SMU).
Jonathan began his civilian career at DOW Chemical, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become the Project Control Lead for his program. He later founded his own company, JNI Consulting where he focuses on FAR-based capital projects for clients in various government agencies, including the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), and NASA. Over the years, Jonathan has built a strong foundation in project controls, serving in all key roles, such as Scheduling Manager, Baseline Manager/Change Control Manager, EVMS, and Risk Manager. He has successfully built multiple Earned Value Management System (EVMS) from the ground up.
In addition to his technical expertise, Jonathan is known for his excellent leadership skills. He has developed unique negotiation and problem-solving skills and is passionate about supporting his team and helping his clients navigate complex projects. He has also served as a master trainer in EVMS, Risk, and IBR prep.
